Narita Airport to Asakusa
This article presents easy-to-understand for traveling from Narita Airport to Asakusa Station!
You should be able to find the perfect way to get there!
First, let’s understand its position on the map!
Airport to Tokyo Map
Narita Airport is a bit distant from central Tokyo, taking 1 to 2 hours by train or car.
It takes 1h~1h30m to Asakusa .
If you get off at Asakusa Station and walk for about 3 minutes, you’ll arrive at Senso-ji Temple!

①How to get by EXPRESS to Asakusa
There are two train lines at the airport: the “Keisei Line” and the “JR Line.”
If you’re going to Asakusa Station, it’s recommended to use the “SKYLINER (Keisei)” !
You can definitely sit and move to Aoto Station.
How to get to the Station
Narita Airport has terminals 1 to 3.
The directions to the station floor differ depending on each terminal, so please check which terminal you will arrive at!

*There is no station at Terminal 3, so you will need to take the free shuttle bus (or walk 15 minutes) to Terminal 2!
When you arrive at Terminal 2, please refer to the directions to the 【Terminal 2】 above!
Station floor map
The floors at Narita Airport Station are divided for JR and Keisei Line, with separate ticket machines and gates.
Please purchase a ticket from the railway company you will be using.

Purchase SKYLINER tickets at “Keisei” ticket vending machines!
Buy a ticket
When you arrive at the station floor, purchase the express ticket.
For Ueno Station, the recommended is “SKYLINER”.

When you purchase a Express ticket, you automatically pay for two fees: the “reserved seat fee” and the “ticket fare”.
So you don’t need to touch your IC card at the gate.
However, if you want to buy a transportation IC card for traveling within Tokyo or other purposes, it might be a good idea to purchase one in advance!
*Currently, ”Suica” sales are suspended at Narita Airport Station, and only “Welcome Suica” will be sold. The expiration date is only 28 days and the balance is non-refundable.
If you plan to buy a transportation IC card at Narita Airport, PASMO is recommended!
Take the express to Asakusa Station
After purchasing your express ticket, take the express at the time you reserved!
To go to Asakusa, take the SKYLINER to “Aoto Station”, change to the Local line at “Aoto Station”, and go to “Asakusa Station”!
①Take the Express to Aoto Station

②Transfer to the local line at Aoto Station
After arriving at Aoto Station, transfer to the “Access Limited Express (bound for Nishimagome/Haneda Airport)” that is stopping in front of the SKYLINER and you will be able to get to Asakusa in 7 min.

If you want to travel fast and sit down, we recommend using the limited express!
②How to get by TRAIN to Asakusa
There are two train lines at the airport: the “Keisei Line” and the “JR Line.”
If you’re going to Asakusa Station, it’s recommended to use the Keisei line without transfer !

Purchase a ticket for the above price from a JR ticket vending machine, or charge the above price to your transportation IC card.
If you do not have a IC card, you can purchase from a ticket vending machine.

Take the train to Asakusa Station
Buy a ticket or charge your IC card and take the train!
If you take the Keisei Line “Access Limited Express (bound for Nishimagome/Haneda Airport)“, you will arrive at Asakusa Station without transfer!
(The Keisei Line will automatically switch to the Toei Asakusa Line along the way.)

③How to get by BUS to Asakusa
*As of September 2023, the bus to Asakusa is suspended!
Please check [official page★] for operation status.
There are two types of limousine buses: ”Airport Limousine Bus” and ”LCB (Low Cost Bus)*There are several companies”.
There is no low cost bus route to Asakusa, so please use the Airport Limousine Bus!

How to buy a ticket
There is a bus ticket counter and automatic ticket vending machine on the arrival lobby floor where you can purchase a bus ticket.

If you are going to Asakusa, please select “Asakusa View Hotel”.
It is a 7minute walk from Asakusa View Hotel to Sensoji.

④How to get by TAXI to Asakusa
There is 【fixed-rate taxi】 from NRT to each place of Tokyo. *Advance reservation required
“NRT ⇔ Tokyo” has a fixed rate of ¥20,000, but you need to pay a highway toll in addition to the fixed-rate fare and pickup fee.
The highway toll is not fixed (the specific highway to be used has not been decided), and the actual toll is not known in advance.
It is estimated to be approximately between ¥25,000 and ¥30,000.
A taxi waiting at the airport (Local taxi) also cost about the same price or more.

If you need airport transportation, I recommend airport shuttles taxi.
Because they have a higher passenger capacity and are affordable!
